Earlier this week after waking the laptop from sleep mode, it hard booted, and then he started getting a garbled screen and then the BSOD, and a hard boot Of course, he called me up to help him out. ![]() Normally, he'll boot up his laptop every morning, check his email (online via ), and surf the net. Claims he didn't do anything and didn't change any settings. I've been working on my uncle's HP Pavilion zd8000 laptop running Windows XP that's been having a BSOD error when trying to boot up.
